Terry Quinn was born and raised in Prince George County, Maryland where he graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in 1986. Upon graduating Terry entered the United States Navy, where he proudly served his four year obligation. Terry's sales and marketing career began after his military service. His father "Big Terry" and uncle Buddy hired Terry to set up and manage several locations of the family business over the next few years. Later, he went on to work in sales and marketing for fortune fifty companies as well as mom and pops throughout his career. Terry attributes his marketing and sales skills to having grown up around sales people all of his life. In 2010 Terry decided to take a chance on himself and pursue his passion full time. Today Terry has his retail and production under one roof in beautiful Solomons Island, Maryland,
Terry Quinn made a splash on the art scene in Southern Maryland in 2011 when he was named "Best Emerging Artist" at AnnMarie Gardens - Artsfest 2011. Terry began working with several wholesale customers and building his brand in the Southern Maryland area during his first two years of business. He was named the Ducks Unlimited Artist of The Year for Calvert County in 2013. Soon after, Terry was approached by a local winery (Fridays Creek Winery) to create and design a collector's series of wine labels, proudly named the "Quinn Collection".
In 2014 Terry launched his own apparel line called the "Terry Quinn Collection" featuring images of his now famous crabs. The clothing became extremely popular with both locals and visitors alike due to the unique crab designs and whimsical use of crabs to replace lettering. Terry also produces his functional art line of coffee mugs and sandstone coasters from his Solomons Island location. Some of the newest additions to the line of products Terry produces include kitchen accent tiles, custom lazy susans and even full kitchen backsplashes. With the addition of custom canvas printing services, the extent of products that can now be produced at the gallery are limitless.
Terry has furnished many restaurants, businesses and a hospital with artwork. This artwork has included everything from a selection of Terry's crab pictures to night time aquatic landscape photography and even large-scale custom mosaic artwork displayed on sheets of decorative metal. Here at Solomons Gallery, Terry has the ability to serve both the walk-in customer or a larger custom commercial order, using in-house man power.
Terry is proud to sell American Made products from his Veteran Owned Small Business.
